WEE CREATIONS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
November 2018 Newsletter
We are thankful to God for blessing our preschool for 28 years! Our classes are very close to full. A few new students will start in November and a few more in January. We are also thankful for the assistance of ACHILDINU, the service formerly known as A Child First as they offer resources, strategies and support for our program to include children with special needs.
We have wrapped up our unit on fall which included apples, pumpkins, squirrels and a trip to Appleland Station. Thank you to all of the adults who came along on the trip. It was a cool day but not rainy; we are thankful for that.
Our paint night was a successful evening of creative effort and socializing. 16 ladies went home with a lovely fall scene to decorate their homes.
Next we will be exploring our senses – taste, touch, smell, hearing, and sight. We are looking forward to doing some fun activities with the children. Imagine how boring our lives would be, if God had not created us with all of these senses to experience the world around us!
Watch for updates, photos and videos on our SEESAW app. So far 35 out of 50 families have signed up to receive info directly from the preschool. It is also a quick and easy way to send a message or ask a question. Every family should have received a letter showing how to sign up on your phone or computer. If you did not get one or have misplaced yours, please contact Mrs. Scheele.
Those families who are on the SEESAW app will know about our plans for our Christmas Social. Friday, December 14, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. OR Saturday, December 15, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the WCS gym. This event is for students of the preschool and their families – parents, siblings, and grandparents. This is our first year offering two sittings, so that we can accommodate everyone comfortably. We ask that you choose the one that suits your family best.
Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board soon. Please indicate how many adults and how many children will be attending. There will be a Christmas Carol Sing for the families, a presentation by the students, a power point collection of photos taken since the start of school, a craft time, refreshments and tours of the classroom. This event is hosted by the preschool Board of Directors.
Mason turns three on Nov. 14! Janine turns four on Nov. 19!
Arabella turns three on Nov. 27!
PLEASE remember to bring warm hats, mitts, jackets etc. for when we go outside. The more things you can label, the better! Remember that inside shoes go on the top shelf, outside shoes/boots under the bench. Also please tuck hats and mitts in the coat sleeves, so we don’t have to dig through backpacks.
If your child is bringing a water bottle or cup from home, it MUST be labelled with your child’s name.
