November 2016

As November approaches, we are still waiting for permission to use our new playground.  If you haven’t seen it, there are pictures posted on our facebook page.   The County of Oxford has given an $8000 grant.  Hopefully, the wait will not be much longer.   We are planning to plant some trees this fall yet.

We are happy to welcome Miss Emily, our co-op student from St. Mary’s High School.   She is helping us each morning from 10:30 – 11:30 until the end of January.

Our new website has been launched.  It is a huge improvement over our previous one.  Check it out at www.weecreations.ca    Please give us your feedback.

Our trip to the farm was enjoyed by all.  Thank you to the parents and staff who helped the children.   Thanks to God for providing beautiful weather!

We still have openings in most classes with new people making inquiries each week.   I am also receiving requests for January openings.  If you are considering adding a morning in January, please let Mrs. Scheele know so you won’t be disappointed.

No birthdays this month.  We will be exploring Nursery Rhymes in November.

Scholastic book orders are due with payment on Tuesday, November 15.

FYI the last day of preschool before the Christmas break is December 23.

Please dress warmly for the colder weather.  Label as many things as possible.

Staff members attended a thought-provoking conference on the weekend.   We gained greater insight into children’s learning styles and got some fun ideas to try in the classroom.

Please make sure that your child has non-marking shoes for the gym.

Your invitation for the Christmas Social will be coming out in mid-November.
