March 2019 Newsletter

We are pleased to announce that we have a new member on our Board of Directors.  Thank you to Jennifer Uchacz for stepping forward to complete this term.  (Jen was one of our first preschool students in 1990 and her mom was on our Board of Directors at that time – how cool is that?)

We have had a lot of winter this year and that has resulted in many cancelled school days.  We have not made it outside to play in the snow very much due to either icy conditions or very cold temperatures.

Registration packages for September 2019 will be available by Friday, March 1.

Don’t forget that Preschool is closed for the March break from March 11-15.

Photography days are March 28 & 29.  Our Photographer is from Milestone Photography.

All students in the Thursday and Friday classes will have individual photos taken as well as class photos.  There is no sitting fee.  Proofs come back to us in a few weeks and you can make your choices from there.  No obligation to buy.   If your child comes on a different day, you are welcome to bring them in for individual photos as well.  There is also the option to photograph sibling groups – just let Mrs. Scheele know.  All individual photos will be taken in the library across from the preschool room.

We had our annual inspection from the Ministry of Education in February and were approved for continuation of our license.

The Board of Directors has been working hard on preparations for our Annual Touch a Truck Event on Saturday, June 1.   It is a big family event promoting our preschool to the community!   If you have any ideas on large equipment that we could park on the school playground for people to look at, please let a teacher or board member know.  We are currently looking into food trucks to offer food to our guests.  If you have any leads on those, we would appreciate hearing from you!
