WEE CREATIONS CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL

February 2018 Newsletter

January was a busy month as some staff completed their first aid/CPR training, parents completed Ages and Stages Questionnaires, and children got back into the routines of preschool, including learning from some guests who are doing dance, yoga, sport ball and music with them!

Completed questionnaires are coming in gradually.  Mrs. Scheele has been scoring them and is willing to sit down for a conversation with parents who have concerns about their child’s development.           If you are not planning to complete the questionnaire, please return it to the preschool to be used by another student.

On Feb. 8 at 9:25 a.m., we are going to have a visit from Krista Duchene, an Olympic athlete who will talk with and do some activities with the preschool students.   If your child does not usually come on Thursdays but you would like to have them participate, you are welcome to join us!  (See separate invitation for more details)

We welcome Emily to our Monday and Friday classes.   Please add her name to your valentine lists if you are in those classes.   We welcome Mrs. Westerveld and Mrs. Donnelly as new supply staff.  Also we welcome Mia to our Friday class.

FYI   We will be closed for the March break – March 12 – 16 – as observed by the public school boards.    Also there is no school on Family Day, Feb. 19.

We will be learning lots of Nursery rhymes this month!    Valentines and friendship will be celebrated the week of Feb. 12 – 16.

Scholastic book orders will be due on Friday, Feb. 23.

BIRTHDAY

Levi B.  turns four on Feb. 1!

We currently have 1 opening on Friday mornings.   All other classes are full.

Registration packages for September 2018 will be available by April 1.

PLEASE MARK SATURDAY, JUNE 2 ON YOUR CALENDAR!

IT IS OUR ANNUAL TOUCH A TRUCK EVENT.

WE WILL HAVE A PLANNING MEETING IN MARCH FOR PARENTS INTERESTED IN GETTING INVOLVED.

This has grown into our big event of the year, with over 1500 people through the gate, each of the past two years.  We need many volunteers to make it successful!
