February 2017 Newsletter

We enjoyed exploring musical instruments and making music together in January!      This month we will be celebrating our friendships and exploring colours!

As you may have seen on our Facebook page, we are expanding our Wednesday morning class this month.   We still have more room, so if you know of someone interested, please send them our way.

Also we have one opening on Thursday mornings.

Clayton turns 4 on Feb. 6!                       Emma T. turns 4 on Feb. 8!

Jenna turns 4 on Feb. 10!                         R.L. turns 4 on Feb. 21!

Aletta turns 3 on Feb. 25!

Scholastic Book orders are due on Tuesday, Feb. 14 with a cheque to Scholastic Canada or pay online.

We enjoyed two Sportball presentations in January by “Coach” Natalie Geerlinks.    This program is starting up in our community, so if you are interested watch for it!

Photography Days have been booked for March 29 and 30.  Milestone Photography will be coming to take individual and class photos.   There is also an opportunity to add in siblings if you want a photo of all your children.

Planning has begun for our Annual Touch a Truck event, scheduled for Saturday June 3, 2017.  As most of our Board members are also working fulltime outside of their homes, we are looking for extra parents to help plan this event.    If you are willing to find out more, please plan to attend a meeting at the school on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 7:30 – 8:30.  Speak to Mrs. Scheele if you are interested.

FYI the preschool will be closed March 13 – 17 for the March break as observed by our local school boards.

Registrations for next September will open on March 1, 2017.    There will be a slight price increase.

We are thankful for the donation that we received from the Emmanuel Reformed Church for $646.  This will be used to buy new tricycles for the playground.

We did not get outside much in January due to the lack of snow and cool, damp weather.   It looks like February is going to be snowy, so we hope to get outside more.  Please bring snow gear.
